Kids stamping Class Card # 1

Here's the first card we did at my Kids Stamping Class for April.
It was a Spring/Floral theme, so the kids could use whatever sentiments they wanted.

We will do a card similar to this with a few changes at my April Stamp Camp. The scan washed out some of the colors (not sure why)... the card is actually brighter in person.

Kids Class - St. Patrick's Day Card # 3

Here's the final St. Patty's day card I did at my kids class last week. It's hard to tell from the scan, but the shamrocks are party confetti in gold and green - very very shiny foil etc. (Because they are shiny, they scan "black".) Anyhow, the kids loved this one because they could color the truck whatever shades of green etc. they wanted.

Kids Class - St. Patrick's Day Card 2

Here's card # 2 for my kids class. I try to keep them fairly basic. We only have a short time to get them done and some of the older kids usually help the younger ones with knots in the ribbon, working some of the punches etc.

Kids class project - pixie stick pouch

Here's a cute little pouch that I came up with on my own. I needed something that the kids could put together fast and would still look cute. It's perfect to be used for any holiday (ie: valentine treats, halloween, Christmas) or even in a "party goody bag". Just change the cardstock colors/stamps/colors etc. and you can totally personalize it. I took 2 picture so you can get a better idea of how "thick" it is etc.

I took the strip of c/s and pre-scored it for the kids, so they just had to fold on the score lines. The sides are held together by 1 staple on each side, then the white c/s was stamped and colored in (to coordinate with the pixie sticks used and c/s colors used) and the c/s was attached over top the staples. I used a large circle punch to punch out the 1/2 circle at the top, inserted the 3 pixie sticks and tied a coordinating ribbon around the whole thing. The kids went nuts for it...(of course they may have just wanted to eat the sticks, but since I wouldn't let them they still seemed to enjoy making the project.)

Kids Class Valentines

Here's the sample of the Valentine the kids did at my kids class.
They could choose between a cute fish or the toucan and they could color it whatever color they wanted. I had some really unique combo's going :)

Cards for Kids Class

I was recently hired by FCPS to conduct a stamping class for 30 kids in grades K-6. Talk about a variety of skill level!! Plus, I had boys and girls. After discussing ideas with some of my stamp campers and showing what I had planned I thought I was set. I sat down to cut everything and make my prototypes and low and behold, I discovered that I couldn't locate my favorite monkey set :( So, back to the drawing board and my monkey card turned into this bug card. The good news is that it was a huge success. The bad news (or maybe it's good news too?) is that they want me back to teach another class. (The bad news is that I really don't have a lot of time in the upcoming months, so I don't know if it will happen or have to be post-poned to the Fall. Anyhow, this card uses the adorable SU set Bugs and Kisses :)

We also did a valentines card and mini-project which I will show you in my next posts :)

My Stampin' Kids Class Cards

I had my stampin' kids class this week and we used 2 of my previous designs (tweaked a bit), plus 1 new one. The one with 3 butterflies is one that we will be doing at my April Stamp camp which is actually scheduled for May 1st. Everyone is so busy in April AND with Spring Break, Easter and Basbeball....my April camp is now bumped to May 1st. But, never fear because we will also have my May stamp camp on May 29th! So you get 2 in 1 month - WOOO HOOO!!

Kids Stamp Class

I had a great time with my stampin' kids this afternoon. The theme for the class was BIRTHDAY. These are the cards they did. (My regular adult stamp campers may recognize a few as being similar to others that we have done at previous camps.) It's always fun to think of designs that the kids will like, but are still "easy enough" for them to get done in 1 1/2 hours and with a wide skill level. (I have 1st - 6th graders, plus 1 Kindergartner!) It can get messy at times and keeping them on track requires constant reminding them, but it is worth it....especially when they show their teachers/parents what they created :)

Kids Project - Post It Note Holder

I had my Jr. Stamper's over this evening to finish making some additional holiday gifts for their family/friends/teachers. These are their Post-It Note Holders...same sketch/layout for all, just different papers/cordinating c/s etc.

Sorry for the horrible lighting...I was in a huge hurry to get pix before they walked out the door :)

Kids Class Projects

This weekend I had some of my junior stampers come over and work on holiday gifts for their family/relatives/teachers etc.

They made an assortment of awesome photo holders and sets of note cards. The photo holders idea came from my super talented friend Karen M. - Thank you!!!

I let the kids pick out whatever papers they wanted to work with and then coordinated with them on the colors that blended. These are their creations.

Kids Class Name Frames

I had my special kids class tonight at the school and it was a great class. It's so neat to see how creative they can be when shown a sample of something and given TONS of colors and papers/stamps to choose from. Here are the name frames that everyone created pretty much all on their own. (I helped match up a few ink colors to cardstock once or twice, but they choose the paper, stamps, inks, frame color etc.)
