As promised, Friday's stamp camp was short and sweet with Clean and Simple cards (CAS) for short! Here we go with the review:

We have done this one in the past in pink shades for a girl, so I thought it was time for a blue one for a boy!

Here's a card that was tweaked after I scanned it. The cupcake looks MUCH MUCH MUCH better centered on the panel of blue embossed c/s. :)

Pretty basic/simple card. Kids could pick from any sentiment to use on it.
They enjoyed sponging the sky onto the card.

Here's one of 3 cards we did last week at my kids card class. The kiddo's could pick between 2 different background papers that went with the fairy theme.

Sparkly Baseball (no....not Twilight related)

For all the Twilight fans, this card is NOT for you...LOL. (Although I DO have some Twilight inspired stamps that are just waiting to get inked and maybe I can get to that this weekend in between watching NEW MOON again and finishing up the prep work for my stamp camp on 3/26. NEW MOON comes out on DVD Saturday - wooo hooo!)

Anyhow, I had to make a quick baseball themed card last night and this is what I came up with. I printed a cute baseball playing bear, accented him with glitter glue, added a sentiment and some punched stars and mounted it with a coordinating background paper. The only thing that took "time" was waiting for the glitter glue to dry.

Cards for Kids Class

I was recently hired by FCPS to conduct a stamping class for 30 kids in grades K-6. Talk about a variety of skill level!! Plus, I had boys and girls. After discussing ideas with some of my stamp campers and showing what I had planned I thought I was set. I sat down to cut everything and make my prototypes and low and behold, I discovered that I couldn't locate my favorite monkey set :( So, back to the drawing board and my monkey card turned into this bug card. The good news is that it was a huge success. The bad news (or maybe it's good news too?) is that they want me back to teach another class. (The bad news is that I really don't have a lot of time in the upcoming months, so I don't know if it will happen or have to be post-poned to the Fall. Anyhow, this card uses the adorable SU set Bugs and Kisses :)

Here's stamp camp card # 3 along with a variation from one of my campers! This card was cased from a fellow demo's swap card. (I got tons of great ideas that will be put to good use at future stamp camps/events!)

I love that this card has soft spring colors and can be used for a variety of things by simply changing the sentiment.

DD's birthday invitations

My dear daughter's (DD for short!)birthday is coming up and with everything going on, I needed to make the invitations fast. I pulled these together on a Sunday evening after everyone was in bed. I ran out of the yellow c/s that I used and compensated with some blue. The images are colored clipart and the sentiment is computer generated. Both the oval punch and scallop punch are from Stampin' Up!. I used a computer to generate the text for the inside of the inviation.
