Special Spring CLIP ART CARD class…

A couple of people asked if I would do a special class on this, so here are the details:

Date: Friday, April 10th
Cost: $22

Time: 6:30pm
What you will make: 12 cards (3 cards with each image, but they will all be slightly different depending upon your matting/cuttlebug embossing folder choices and sentiment choices). I will have many of my cuttlebug folders out for you to choose from so you decide if you want yours to “look like the sample” or experiment on your own with the textures.

This special clip art Spring/Easter themed card class will feature CLIP ART images (see some of them from my previous stamp/scrap weekend posts!) There will be very little stamping on these cards. You only stamp the sentiment on the front or inside of the card. The main focus of the cards is a cute clipart image that you cut out and then you will use the cuttlebug to emboss various pieces/parts.

What to bring: You will need to bring your own adhesive.
If you have a pair of microtip scissors (SU papersnips or Cutterbee or Fiskers) bring them too. If you don’t have the scissors, I will have extras available for you.

The images that will be used are: a duck with easter eggs, a bunny with chicks, lamb with flowers and bunny with flowers. (The first 2 images are definitely more Easter themed, while the last 2 can be used for anything from birthday, thinking of you, get well soon, happy spring to more!)

Light snacks and drinks will be served.
RSVP by April 8th to confirm your spot!

My Stampin' Kids Class Cards

I had my stampin' kids class this week and we used 2 of my previous designs (tweaked a bit), plus 1 new one. The one with 3 butterflies is one that we will be doing at my April Stamp camp which is actually scheduled for May 1st. Everyone is so busy in April AND with Spring Break, Easter and Basbeball....my April camp is now bumped to May 1st. But, never fear because we will also have my May stamp camp on May 29th! So you get 2 in 1 month - WOOO HOOO!!

DD's Book Case with vinyl removable decals

My DD has needed a book case for her room for awhile now. This was a weekend project from the beginning of March that took a smidgen longer than a weekend (only because the paint had to cure 2 weeks before I could apply my vinyl decals.) It started out as an unfinished book case from Michael's (bought with a 50% coupon of course - but they are on sale for 40% off this week!!) I primed it on a Saturday afternoon and painted the first coat of white on Saturday night. Then, I painted the 2nd coat of white on Sunday afternoon. Then we let it cure for 2 weeks and finally on Sunday night, DD and I went ahead and figured out where to put the repositionable & removable decals. We bought 2 packs and still have a lot left. Since I took the photos I added a small butterfly to each side of it (where you see too much white space). We didn't put any on the inside (since they would normally be covered with books and not showing), but now I am thinking I might do it just to use them up. What do you think??

Spring Bunny with Flowers Cards

Here are some cards that I made over the weekend featuring a cute little bunny with some flowers. I decided to make the sentiment box, but NOT stamp a sentiment. That way, I can have them ready and simply stamp the sentiment I need when it's time to send a card. These will work for everything from Happy Easter/Spring to Thinking of You, Get well soon, Just a note and Happy Birthday.

Easter & Spring Bunny Cards

Nothing super fancy about my Easter Cards. Same basic layout, just the designer paper, sentiment and ribbon changed. I colored them with my copics but didn't do any of the realistic shading.
