I held a Kids Class earlier this month with a theme of Father's Day/Masculine Cards.
Here's what they created:
Tie Card: Special notes: The red tie was stamped on a separate piece of c/s and cut out and then "popped up" with stampin dimensionals.
Boat Card: The trickiest part of this card for the kids to remember was to stamp the anchors FIRST before running that piece of c/s through the cuttlebug. They liked sponging the water under the boat too.
Finally, here's the frog card. It was a huge hit - probably because of the googly eyes - what child doesn't love those ;) You may notice that the froggy is two-tone. The easiest way to do this (and still have usable ink pads) is to tap the stamp into your lighter color ink FIRST, then gently tap it onto your darker color ink next, THEN stamp it onto your cardstock. Both colors should come through in a mottled effect. For this card, the lighter color was certainly celery and the darker color was not quite navy. I used the same process on the sentiment as well. This technique works great for bolder image stamps.
Cheers!

Girly Cupcake Birthday cards
May & June are very busy months for my family. My DD has birthday parties to go to every weekend as well as her own party we are throwing.
Even though I am sure I have over 1,000 cards in my various stashes "special friends" always seem to call for a "new" and "special" card.
I found these cupcake gem pieces on clearance at Michael's a couple of months ago and had to get them. I will be honest, they are adorable in the package, but a real pain in patootie to work with...it was nearly impossible to get them to set up straight and not be "crooked" or out of whack. These 2 are the best of about 6 cards that I did and that pastel cupcake is still pretty wonky looking! The designer paper is some that I had in my stash and the pretty ribbon I picked up at the local party store.
On the plus side DD's girlfriends loved the cards - so that's great!!

New Year's Resolutions/Holiday Christmas Cards
Anyone still on track with their New Year's Resolutions?
I am on track with the crafting one (making at least 10 Christmas/Holiday cards a month so I will have 100 by the end of October and not have to worry about it!)
I have just been super busy and unable to post much lately...so I will try to do some catchup this week :)
Here's March's Holiday cards that I did....
The base of the tree is accented with sparkly gold glitter glue/stickles. The tree is hand colored with Copic markers. Stamps are from Michael's Recollections/clear stamps (I can't remember the name).
